I'm a pastor, so the comments on this post have a context of 30 years of church ministry.
Question.....If you keep your marriage vows the same way you keep your church membership vows how healthy would your marriage be?
There is vow to "support the work and worship of the church to the best of your ability".
In marriage there is a vow to "love, honor, cherish, and be faithful to my spouse".
It would be a scary thing for a marriage if the faithfulness to the wedding vow was equivalent to the way many live out their membership vows.
